So… what does Hoishi actually do?
We work at the intersection of strategy, engineering and capital, on problems that don't have an obvious owner inside an organisation. The shape of the work changes; the posture doesn't. If a one-line answer would suffice, the engagement probably isn't for us.
Are you a consultancy? A fund? An agency?
None of those, exactly. We borrow the useful parts and leave the rest. Think of us as a standing coalition you can deploy against a specific objective for a defined period of time.
Can I see a list of your clients?
No. Confidentiality is the substrate the rest of the work runs on. If you need a public reference list to feel comfortable, we're probably not the right partner.
How do I get in touch?
A warm introduction is by far the fastest path. Failing that, you can write to hello@hoishi.com. We read everything; we don't reply to everything.
Where are you based?
Members of the coalition operate across nine time zones. There is no headquarters, no front desk, and no flag on the wall. Meetings happen where they need to.
How are engagements priced?
Against outcomes, not hours. We agree on what "done" looks like before anyone starts working, and we structure the fee around it.
Do you hire?
Rarely, and never publicly. New operators join the coalition by reference, after working alongside us on something real.
Are you investors?
Sometimes. We back the founders, instruments and infrastructure we believe the next decade will run on. We don't publish the portfolio. If you're in it, you already know.
Why is this site so vague?
Because the alternative is louder than the work deserves.
